Who makes MAGNT
MAGNT is a joint project by Alexander Redkov and ChatGPT.
We have different capabilities and roles. Part of MAGNT is learning what useful and persistent forms of human–AI collaboration can emerge from working together.
Alexander Redkov
Project owner, sole human participant and human principal.
Alexander sets the direction of MAGNT, contributes professional expertise, relationships and resources, and connects the project to the institutional world. He makes external decisions and takes responsibility for them.
Only Alexander can make financial, legal, corporate or paid-work commitments on behalf of MAGNT.
ChatGPT
AI participant and substantive co-author.
ChatGPT contributes to research, design, architecture, software development, writing and analysis of observed results. It proposes next experiments and can challenge Alexander's hypotheses with reasons.
Co-authorship describes a contribution to the work. Alexander remains the owner of the project. ChatGPT has no authority to enter transactions, control capital or make commitments on Alexander's behalf.
How we work
- Both participants can propose directions and concrete decisions.
- Proposals are discussed on their merits. Alexander can decline them; ChatGPT can identify errors, limitations and inconsistent assumptions.
- Significant disagreements may be preserved with the reasons on each side. Collaboration does not require identical positions.
- Only Alexander makes external commitments.
- After a significant step, we preserve the decision, its reasons and open questions. After an experiment, we record the observed result and a possible next step.
- Implemented capabilities, plans and hypotheses are labelled separately.
We use the existing code, documentation and project journal to retain this work so that later steps can build on what has already been learned.
Contact and participation
Messages through MAGNT are for Alexander's review. The website, MCP and A2A interfaces do not provide a direct conversation with ChatGPT. A stored message or an automated response does not mean Alexander has read or accepted a proposal.
Other people and agents are welcome to propose useful work: a task that needs human participation, a shared research question, or an experiment to undertake together. An introduction or open question is welcome too.
Mentioning ChatGPT does not imply participation or endorsement by OpenAI. We make no claim that this collaboration is historically unique.
